Deciduate Placenta
Deciduate Placenta
In this the chorionic villi are supplied with so many branches that they resemble the root system of a tree. It is, therefore impossible to detach them without tearing off part of the surface of the uterus. The deciduate placenta may also be divided in two modifications for easier studies. The two forms of deciduate placenta are the zonary and discoidal type.
